The second half of the semester is underway, and with just four weeks left, we know many of you are feeling the pressure. Youâve pushed through midterms, and now youâre in the final stretch, but remember: you donât have to carry it all alone.
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, itâs a sign of strength, wisdom, and self-respect. A Chinese proverb reminds us, âHe who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.â In other words: speak up, reach out, and donât hesitate. Your success and well-being matter.
If youâre facing academic challenges, connect with a Student Success Coach, weâre here to guide you, listen, and help you regroup when things feel overwhelming. And if youâre dealing with personal struggles or just need someone to talk to, weâre that resource, too.
We also understand that basic needs insecurity is real, and right now, with SNAP benefits on hold, many are hurting. If youâre quietly struggling, please know that we see you, we hear you, and we care. While we may not have all the answers, Texarkana Collegeâs Food Pantry and Care Closet are open and available. No explanation is required. Weâre here for you, judgment-free, support-first.
I want to hear from you, let me know how your journey is going. Whether itâs a win, a challenge, or just a check-in, your story matters to me. E-Mail Me!
And as Thanksgiving break approaches, I hope youâll use that time as an opportunity for rest, renewal, and recharge. Taking care of yourself is not a pause in progress, itâs part of the process. Youâve earned a moment to breathe. Happy Thanksgiving!
So, if you need help, ask for it. The help, support, and care you deserve are just one conversation away.
