We’re five weeks into the semester at Texarkana College, and whether you’re in an eight-week course or a sixteen-week session, now is the perfect time to pause and check your pace. As the saying goes, “You can’t pour from an empty cup, take care of yourself first.” It’s easy to get caught up in assignments, work, and life, but remember balance is key to long-term success.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure about something in class, don’t hesitate, reach out to your instructors. They’re here to help, and open communication can make a big difference. And if you need extra support, the Student Success team is here for you, too. From time management tips to academic support and goal planning, we’ve got resources designed with you in mind. Visit Student Successto learn more or schedule time with a success coach.
Most importantly, take time for yourself. Even in the midst of everything going on, you deserve moments to breathe, reset, and care for your mental and emotional well-being. Burnout doesn’t build bridges, it breaks them. So stay grounded, protect your peace, and keep pressing forward at a pace that honors both your goals and your health.
You're doing better than you think, keeping showing up, and keep giving yourself the grace to grow.
All the Best,
Lee Williams III
